Basketball Recap: Leroy Greene Academy Find Success

Elite came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Leroy Greene Academy, but Anaya Alston wouldn't allow it. The Leroy Greene Academy Lions simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Elite Eagles 51-24 thanks in part to Alston, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 14 boards. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Elite's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amaiya Seeberry, who posted 13 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Barrow, who put up four points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

The victory got Leroy Greene Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Elite, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Leroy Greene Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 41-22 defeat against Fortune Early College on the 9th. As for Elite, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-5 win against Creative Connections Arts Academy on the 9th.
