After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Screven County, Jefferson County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Washington County Golden Hawks with a sharp 29-7 win. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 32-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jefferson County had a senior duo take command as Montavious Hunter picked up 79 receiving yards and a pair of scores and Antoni 'AJ' Bush rushed for 101 yards and one TD.

Jefferson County's run defense was locked in: Washington County could only muster -0.5 yards per carry. The Warriors' ground attack was stronger, having averaged five.

The victory got Jefferson County back to even at 1-1. As for Washington County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
