Softball Recap: Worth County Has No Trouble Against Bainbridge

Worth County barely beat Bainbridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams were the clear victors by a 20-7 margin over the Bearcats on Monday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Laurie Pritchard and Karlee Mathews did most of the damage at the plate: Pritchard got on base in five of her six plate appearances with five RBI, one stolen base, and one double, while Mathews went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most runs Mathews has posted since back in August of 2024. Jordyn Marlin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Worth County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Worth County back to even at 2-2. As for Bainbridge, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Worth County will be playing at home against Bacon County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bainbridge, they will take on Cook at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
