Southside lost against McGill-Toolen back in October of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Payton Mcclarren was the offensive standout of the match as she had eight digs and two assists.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 18-13. As for McGill-Toolen, the win (which was their 29th in a row) raised their record to 35-2.

Coming up, Southside will challenge Gadsden City at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McGill-Toolen, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against UMS-Wright Prep on the 11th.
