Soccer Game Preview: Truckee vs. South Tahoe

Truckee hasn't had much luck against South Tahoe recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolverines will venture away from home to square off against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Truckee sitting on three straight victories and South Tahoe on nine.

Truckee's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Wooster as they made off with a 13-0 win. Give Truckee's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Wooster from everywhere, as ten different players booted in a goal. Macee Abraham led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Tahoe). They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over Incline on Saturday. Give South Tahoe's defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Truckee's record is now 10-2-1. As for South Tahoe, their record now sits at 9-3-2.

Truckee might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from South Tahoe in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
