Poly skates past North Hollywood with ease

Recap: Poly Parrots vs. North Hollywood Huskies

Make it seven blowout wins for the Poly Parrots this season. They really took it to North Hollywood for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-28 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Poly sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Poly to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hannah Lising, who scored 13 points along with four steals and two blocks. Lising has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last five times she's played. Samantha Saldana was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals and two blocks.

Poly is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for North Hollywood, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poly will take on the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Monroe comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for North Hollywood, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Dons at 7:00 p.m. Verdugo Hills presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Huskies in California (the Dons are ranked 450th, while the Huskies are ranked 938th).
