Football Recap: Chesapeake Beats Patterson for Their Second Straight Victory

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Chesapeake's strategy against Patterson on Friday. The Cougars' defense stepped up to hand the Clippers a 24-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Chesapeake's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Patterson, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chesapeake is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge First State Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Patterson, they will head out to face off against City College at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Clippers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
