Basketball Recap: Northumberland Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Juniata Christian last Tuesday, Northumberland Christian came back down to earth. The Northumberland Christian Warriors came up short against the Millville Quakers on Thursday, falling 50-28. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Quakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-16 back in January.

Larissa Evans continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Millville, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 14 boards. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which Evans has scored at least a third of Millville's points. Julia Hippenstiel was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

Northumberland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Millville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Northumberland Christian nor Millville have any future games scheduled.
