Football Recap: Parkside Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Parkside lost against Decatur back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams came up short against the Seahawks, falling 35-14. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Seahawks are ranked 31st).

Decatur got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Johnny Hobgood out in front who threw for 233 yards and three TDs while completing 76% of his passes. That's the most passing yards Hobgood has posted since back in December of 2024. Decatur's leading receiver Bo Gehrig was Hobgood's top target yet again, picking up 64 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Parkside has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Decatur, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Parkside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Decatur, they will be playing at home against Reservoir at 6:00 p.m. on the 7th.
