Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeview Wolf Pack vs. Sanger Apaches

The Ridgeview Wolf Pack will face off against the Sanger Apaches at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgeview has given up an average of 50 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ridgeview's last matchup with Frontier could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Wolf Pack came up short against the Titans, falling 67-42. The Wolf Pack were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-18.

Despite the defeat, Ridgeview got top-tier performance from Victoria Smith-Chaplin, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 rebounds. Smith-Chaplin has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriella Ruiz-Romero, who posted seven points along with five boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sanger). They blew past Central 64-10 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Apaches, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Sanger's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Ridgeview, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
