Football Recap: Sibley East Takes a Loss

Sibley East lost against Luverne back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolverines took a blow against the Cardinals, falling 49-8. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Cardinals are ranked 94th).

Sibley East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Luverne, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sibley East will challenge rival Jackson County Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Luverne is set to take on their familiar foe Windom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
