Baseball Recap: Jefferson Jaguars vs. Owatonna Huskies

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Jefferson nor Owatonna made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Jaguars' pitchers stepped up to hand the Huskies a 4-0 shutout. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Max Kocur made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Jefferson's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is undefeated (and 6-8 when he doesn't).
