Softball Recap: Burke Comes Up Short

Burke was the 14-4 winner over Bryan when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 7-3 to the Bears on Thursday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kassidy Nilius and Liliana Hansen did some serious damage despite the final result: Nilius went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Hansen went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That RBI marked the first that Nilius has brought in this season.

Burke's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Bryan, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-12.

Burke didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-3 victory against Omaha North on the 12th. As for Bryan, they have also already played their next match, a 17-0 loss against Millard North on the 11th.
