Soccer Game Preview: El Capitan vs. High Tech SD

The El Capitan Vaqueros will face off against the High Tech SD Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. El Capitan's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

El Capitan's tournament run continued when they took on Classical Academy on Wednesday. The Vaqueros fell 3-1 to the Caimans.

Meanwhile, 2026 welcomed High Tech SD with an 8-1 loss courtesy of Chula Vista on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as High Tech SD were already down 4-0.

El Capitan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-2. As for High Tech SD, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1.

Everything went El Capitan's way against High Tech SD when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as El Capitan made off with a 4-1 win. Will the Vaqueros repeat their success, or do the Storm have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
