Volleyball Recap: Reed-Custer Comets vs. Wilmington Wildcats

Reed-Custer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilmington Wildcats. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19.

Sami Liaromatis went supernova For Wilmington., getting 12 digs and five aces. Liaromatis has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Billingsley, who had nine digs and eight assists.

Reed-Custer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Wilmington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Reed-Custer will square off against Lisle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilmington, they will be playing at home against Dwight at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
