Illinois High School Volleyball - Wilmington over Reed-Custer
September 23, 2025: Braidwood, IL 60408 In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Wilmington Wildcats volleyball squad scored a 2-0 win over the Reed-Custer Comets.
Next up, the Wildcats face the Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, September 24. Wilmington will attempt to advance on its 14-3 season record. The Trojans go into the game with a 10-8 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Donovan (Donovan, IL).
The Comets (2-14) will now prepare for their game against Lisle (Lisle, IL). The Lions go into the Illinois Central Eight game with a 7-11 record. In their last game, Lisle went down by Streator (Streator, IL), 2-0, in a league game.

The Lady Cats swept the Reed-Custer Comets in 2 games at all three levels. Varsity won 25-10, 25-19. Rachel Smith continued to lead her team offensively with 13 kills, 12 digs and an assist. Molly Southall added another 6 kills to go with her 10 assists, 5 digs and an ace. Aly Allgood was right behind her with 4 kills. Addison Billingsley returned back to the court after recovering from an injury with 7 assists. Sami Liaromatis continues to dominate in the back row with 12 digs and 5 aces.
