Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pike County). Everything went their way against the Jackson Red Devils on Tuesday as the Pike County Pirates made off with a 10-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their two-run performance the game before.

The victory (which was Pike County's third in a row) raised their record to 4-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Jackson, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.

Pike County will have a chance to go back-to-back against Jackson: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
