Basketball Recap: Excelsior Charter Falls Short of Desert Hot Springs in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Excelsior Charter can now relate to. They were beaten by the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles 64-26 on Thursday. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Excelsior Charter's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Desert Hot Springs, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-13.

Excelsior Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Desert Hot Springs, they will square off against Rosemead at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rosemead will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Desert Hot Springs surely won't give up without a fight.
