Basketball Recap: West Philadelphia Comes Up Short

West Philadelphia has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through a 62-27 loss at the hands of Nazareth Academy. The Speedboys were down 55-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

West Philadelphia's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Victoria Williams, who posted eight points. Kashay Ryder was another key player, putting up nine points.

West Philadelphia's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Nazareth Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.

As of now, neither West Philadelphia nor Nazareth Academy have any future games scheduled.
