Bishop Carroll has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Wednesday. They will challenge the Bedford Bisons at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Bishop Carroll is ranked 180th, while Bedford is ranked 160th).
Last Wednesday, Bishop Carroll was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-41 to Westmont Hilltop. Bishop Carroll has not had much luck with Westmont Hilltop recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Bedford beat Bald Eagle Area 35-28 on Friday. The win was just what Bedford needed coming off of a 61-35 defeat in their prior contest.
Bedford found their leader in underclassman Rebekah Costal, who scored 15 points. Costal continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Shannon Letrent was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Bishop Carroll now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Bedford, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Bishop Carroll took their win against Bedford in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 62-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop Carroll since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
