Pitman takes loss despite strong efforts from Marin Irasava and Dailynn Greener

Recap: Pitman Pride vs. Escalon Cougars
The Pitman Pride's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Escalon 63-34. While losing is never fun, Pitman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 529th, while Escalon is ranked 155th).
Pitman's loss came despite strong showings from Dailynn Greener and Marin Irasava. Greener scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three steals, while Irasava scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Irasava has scored all season.
Pitman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Escalon, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pitman will be home for the holidays to greet East Union at 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Escalon will be home for the holidays to greet Amador at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
