Baseball Recap: Grovetown's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grovetown). They never let the South Gwinnett Comets get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Monday. The Warriors not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 29, 2024.

Boston Rowan was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Maldonado, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

Grovetown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February of 2024.

Grovetown's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6. As for South Gwinnett, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Grovetown will challenge North Oconee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Gwinnett, they will face off against Grovetown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
