Softball Recap: East Paulding Takes a Loss

East Paulding and Lassiter squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but East Paulding had to settle for second. They lost 8-2 to the Trojans. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

East Paulding saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Hernandez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run. Another was Addie Mcadams, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

East Paulding's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-12. As for Lassiter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Trojans beat East Paulding by a score of 12-1 later that day.
