Recap: Armstrong River Hawks vs. Pine-Richland Rams
The Armstrong River Hawks won against the Pine-Richland Rams on Saturday with 48 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Armstrong took down Pine-Richland 48-29. Armstrong's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
When it comes to explaining why Pine-Richland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Madison Zavasky. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Zavasky scored a full 65.5% of Pine-Richland's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Maren Iski was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 10 rebounds.
Armstrong's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pine-Richland, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Armstrong will head out on the road to face off against Chartiers Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pine-Richland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Avonworth at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
