Soccer Recap: Lithia Springs Comes Up Short

Lithia Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Douglas County Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by just one goal.

Lithia Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Douglas County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lithia Springs will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East Paulding at 8:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for Douglas County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Douglas County duke it out with the Villa Rica at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Villa Rica's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three games.
