Basketball Recap: Oak Grove Takes a Loss

Oak Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 49-34 to the Live Oak Acorns. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1111th, while the Acorns are ranked 517th).

Oak Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Live Oak, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Grove will host Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Live Oak, they will welcome Ann Sobrato at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
