Soccer Recap: Santa Ana Valley Triumphs

Santa Ana Valley's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They skirted past the Santiago Cavaliers 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

They hit Santiago with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jayleen Roldan, Xica Ortega, and Karen Garcia.

Santa Ana Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4-2 record this season. As for Santiago, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Western the next time they take the pitch. Santa Ana Valley will host Western at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Santiago will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on January 17th.
