Baseball Recap: Boling Comes Up Short

Boling and Orangefield squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Boling had to settle for second. They lost 10-3 to the Bobcats. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bulldogs, who until this matchup were averaging 3.87 runs allowed.

Boling saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Macek, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Boling's loss dropped their record down to 19-11-1. As for Orangefield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 24 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season.

Boling does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orangefield, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Grandview on the 14th.
