Softball Recap: Pope Wins Going Away Against Woodstock

Pope won the last time they faced Woodstock and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Greyhounds blew past the Wolverines 10-2. Considering the Greyhounds have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Pope now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Woodstock, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Pope will venture away from home to face off against Lassiter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Greyhounds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Woodstock, they will take on River Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Wolverines' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
