Softball Recap: Fillmore Central Takes a Loss

Milford hit Fillmore Central with a five-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers came up short against the Eagles, falling 12-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 on Saturday.

Addison Treinen was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. She also put up a run, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Braelyn Kramer, who earned one run and three stolen bases.

Fillmore Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season. As for Milford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season.

Fillmore Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Milford, they will head out on the road to take on Blue River at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Milford's pitchers better be ready for this one: Blue River has averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
