Basketball Recap: Providence Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Providence suffered their biggest defeat since January 28th on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Independence Patriots and fell 81-45. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Independence's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lusemo Macharia, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. Thanks to that strong game, Macharia now owns an excellent 51.9% field goal percentage. King Rhodes was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 13 points.

Providence's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Independence, their record is now 3-1.

Providence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-60 win against Piedmont on the 4th. As for Independence, they will take on Dorman in a tournament on Friday. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Cavaliers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
