Soccer Game Preview: Appling County vs. Wayne County

The Appling County Pirates will head out to square off against the Wayne County Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Appling County will be strutting in after a win while Wayne County will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, it was close, but Appling County sidestepped Vidalia for a 3-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Wayne County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Appling County on Monday.

Appling County was able to grind out a solid victory over Wayne County when the teams last played on Monday, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Appling County since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
