Soccer Game Preview: Armijo vs. West Campus

The Armijo Royals will face off against the West Campus Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Armijo's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Florin 5-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Royals needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

They hit Florin with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Payton Long (2), Fabiola Cisneros, Cecillia Reynoso, and Natalie Barajas.

Meanwhile, West Campus got the win against Valley on Thursday by a conclusive 7-1. With the Warriors ahead 4-1 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

West Campus is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-1-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six games. As for Armijo, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.
