Valor Christian was sadly handed a loss on Saturday, but Elizabeth Canales did her best to prevent it. Despite the defeat, Canales was still locked in as she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
