Beecher hasn't had much luck against Manteno recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bobcats will welcome the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Beecher is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
Beecher had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Momence on Thursday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Momence Athletics with a sharp 13-5 win.
Brady Cain tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Santino Imhof, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Chase Maher was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Beecher kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Manteno came up short against Bradley-Bourbonnais on Saturday and fell 8-3.
Manteno also got a good showing from Josh Melia, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Melia has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Gio Arrigo and Braden Campbell did some serious damage despite the final result: Arrigo went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI, while Campbell went 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run was Campbell's first of the season.
Manteno's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Beecher, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Beecher hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. However, it's not like Manteno struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Beecher might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Manteno in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Bobcats have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
