Basketball Preview: Pottstown Trojans vs. Linville Hill
The Pottstown Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against Linville Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Pottstown has struggled recently with 19 losses in a row, while the will arrive with eight straight victories.
Last Thursday, Pottstown took a serious blow against the Indians, falling 52-22. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pottstown in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Linville Hill didn't have too much trouble with the Eagles on the road last Friday as they won 40-25.
Linville Hill found their leader in underclassman Courtney Good, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Rishel, who scored eight points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Pottstown dropped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Linville Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.
