Soccer Game Preview: New Hampstead vs. Benedictine

New Hampstead is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Benedictine a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The New Hampstead Phoenix will be playing in front of their home fans against the Benedictine Cadets at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, New Hampstead didn't have quite enough to beat Warner Robins and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Benedictine kept a clean sheet against Ware County on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Gators.

Michael Groover and Asher Herrin scored both of Benedictine's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

New Hampstead's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Benedictine, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

New Hampstead suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Benedictine in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can New Hampstead avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
