Basketball Recap: San Leandro Comes Up Short

San Leandro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons 68-16. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 556th, while the Dragons are ranked 60th).

San Leandro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Bishop O'Dowd, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.

Coming up, San Leandro is taking a road trip to square off against Alameda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-44 loss against Oakland Tech on the 13th.
