Soccer Recap: Sumter County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Kendrick last Tuesday, Sumter County came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 8-1 to the Crisp County Cougars on Monday. Sumter County have struggled against Crisp County recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Sumter County's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Crisp County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Coming up, Sumter County is taking a road trip to square off against Macon County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crisp County, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Tattnall County at 6:00 p.m. Tattnall County will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Crisp County surely won't give up without a fight.
