Softball Recap: Banneker Takes a Loss

Banneker couldn't beat Langston Hughes on Tuesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the second inning. The Trojans lost 22-7 to the Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Banneker now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Langston Hughes, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Banneker will venture away from home to challenge Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Langston Hughes, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Lovejoy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
