Soccer Recap: Elyria Takes a Loss

Elyria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Berea-Midpark Titans, falling 9-6. Lex Brunner is probably feeling rather frustrated with he team right now: they lost despite he posting four goals.

Elyria's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-2. As for Berea-Midpark, with the win, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 2-8-3.

Elyria and Berea-Midpark could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Pioneers will challenge Firelands at 7:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (408 vs. 113). Meanwhile, Berea-Midpark (ranked 370th) will meet Hoover (ranked 83rd) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
