Troy entered their tilt with Mansfield on Saturday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victor by a 56-33 margin over the Mansfield Tigers. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Tigers are ranked 421st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Troy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alyssa Parks, who went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailyn Sterling, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 9 points along with seven boards and four blocks.

Troy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 11 consecutive games.

Troy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Mansfield, they moved to 8-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Troy will head out to challenge Towanda at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Towanda has won four straight at home, while Troy won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Mansfield, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mansfield Tigers face off against the Athens Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
