Football Recap: Male Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Trinity

Male faced Trinity in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bulldogs had to suffer through a 46-0 loss at the hands of the Shamrocks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Shamrocks since December 19, 2020.

This is the second loss in a row for Male and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Trinity, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Male will challenge Pleasure Ridge Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity, they will host St. Xavier at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Shamrocks 10.4, the Tigers 12.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
