Basketball Recap: Yough Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Yough can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 60-12 loss at the hands of Blackhawk. Yough's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Aubree Hupp continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Blackhawk, dropping a double-double with 24 points and ten steals. Hupp has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 28 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Andrea Kinger, who posted 13 points and eight steals.

Yough's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Blackhawk, their victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-2.

Yough does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blackhawk, they will challenge Laurel Highlands on Thursday. Blackhawk knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Laurel Highlands likes a good challenge.
