Basketball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Shawe Memorial last Friday, Jac-Cen-Del came back down to earth. The Eagles were outmatched by the Southwestern Rebels and fell 76-38. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-12.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Neil Sullivan, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Will Meyer, who put up four points.

Jac-Cen-Del dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southwestern, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Jac-Cen-Del will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against North Daviess at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southwestern, they and Clarksville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Rebels will be up against the Generals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
