Basketball Recap: Arushi Solgama Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Weatherly

MMI Preparatory School's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They managed a 29-23 victory over Weatherly. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-21 back in December of 2024.

MMI Preparatory School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Arushi Solgama, who posted seven points and three steals. That's the most points Solgama has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shreeya Parikh, who had two points and five steals.

MMI Preparatory School picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-17. As for Weatherly, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.

MMI Preparatory School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 36-28 loss against Notre Dame on the 10th. Weatherly has also already played their next matchup (against Lincoln Leadership Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
