Softball Recap: Johns Creek Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gainesville on Tuesday, Johns Creek came back down to earth. The Gladiators fell just short of the Lanier Longhorns by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Gladiators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Johns Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Uma Pittman, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Johns Creek has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Lanier, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Johns Creek is set to face off against their familiar foe Roswell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lanier will challenge rival Gainesville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
