Softball Recap: Mt. Zion Bulldogs vs. Jonesboro Cardinals
Mt. Zion had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 8-7 to make it four. They lost 21-6 to the Jonesboro Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-3 back in August.

Mt. Zion got a massive performance out of Sanai Grace, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. Grace has been hot recently, having posted three or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shania Leija, who earned one run and three stolen bases.
As for Jonesboro, the win got them back to even at 9-9. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.
On Jonesboro's side, Zorah Jenkins made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs but no hits. That's the most strikeouts Jenkins has posted over her last five matchups. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
