Baseball Recap: Brantley County Herons vs. Berrien Rebels
Brantley County had to endure a 15-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Berrien Rebels on Tuesday, sneaking past 6-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Herons also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2019.
Brody Howell and Gaven Grafford were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Howell didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Grafford tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Howell has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Howell scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Grafford scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
