Soccer Recap: Calvary Christian Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, Calvary Christian was not quite Brookstone's equal in the second half on Thursday. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. Calvary Christian were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Brookstone earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Emmanuel Garcia-Vidal and Zach Madrigal scored both of Calvary Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Calvary Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4-1 record this season. Brookstone's win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Calvary Christian is taking a road trip to take on Tattnall Square Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brookstone, they will host St. Anne-Pacelli at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
